Between “330,000 and 340,000“Passengers per day are expected this weekend at Paris airports, exactly 220,000 at Paris-CDG and 110,000 at Paris-Orly. “At Orly we are above the figures for 2019, on the other hand, at Charles-de-Gaulle we are missing a few passengers, in particular Asian passengers. “We have put a lot of effort into organizing the queues… Our passengers will be able to see a very strong improvement in the conditions in which they wait.“, promised the boss of ADP. When to lost luggage -35,000 were misplaced or lost last year in Paris-CDG alone-, he wanted to reassure travellers: “We have increased the maintenance teams by 20%, our teams are ready… The baggage logistics chain is very sophisticated and we have great prospects for improvement“.
In May, passenger traffic in France fell to 99.6% of the monthly level before the pandemic, according to figures from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC). French domestic traffic remained lower than pre-Covid (91%), while international connections reached 101.6% from four years ago, boosted in particular by flights from/to Africa (150.3%).
