Aerolíneas Argentinas partners with Avianca and GOL

Argentina’s public airline Aerolineas Argentinas signed a memorandum of understanding (Soft) with Abra Groupa holding company that controls airline operations GOL And AviancaFor “strengthen collaboration and explore opportunities” in commercial, operational and technological areas.

The groups have not specified what type of synergies they will be able to implement, but they suggest the emergence of an alliance in the future. The signing of the MoU will make it possible to intensify negotiations on the roads of Argentina and Brazil, since Aerolíneas Argentinas has codeshare on 71 routes in Brazil, while GOL has codeshare on 42 routes in Argentina. Note the possibility for Aerolineas to increase frequencies from April 24 on its connections with Brazil, by increasing flights to Porto Alegre at 12 weekly frequencies (currently six); a daily flight to Curitiba, 28 to 33 weekly flights at San Paulo and a weekly flight to Porto Seguro. The signing of the new interline agreement with Avianca will open to Aerolíneas the doors to 12 destinations in Colombia and a connection with Panama City.
