The Greek company is offering a total of nine new routes this winter from Athens and Thessaloniki, and is extending seven routes opened this summer for the winter.

The Greek company AEGEAN presents a very extensive flight program for its winter season. The carrier hellene launches seven new routes from Athens to the Emirates (Dubai), Egypt (Luxor, Sharm El Sheikh), Austria (Innsbrück), Moldova (Chisinau), Slovakia (Bratislava) and Azerbaijan (Baku) and two routes from Thessaloniki (Cairo and Barcelona). To these nine new routes, we must add seven connections launched from Athens during the summer and which are extended for the winter season (Bristol, Birmingham, Malaga, Bilbao, Tallinn, Riga and Tunis).

30% growth in traffic over the first seven months of the year

AEGEAN’s reinforced winter program is part of a sharp increase in passenger traffic in the first part of the year. From January to September 2023, AEGEAN transported more than 11.9 million passengers (including 7.1 on the international network), representing growth of 30% compared to the same period of the previous year. In the third quarter of the year (July to September), the company transported 5.3 million passengers, with an increase of 17% on domestic traffic and 18% on the international network.

AEGEAN offers up to 95 direct flights per week from 10 French cities (Bordeaux, Brest, Deauville, Strasbourg, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Nice, Paris and Toulouse) to seven Greek destinations (Athens, Corfu, Heraklion, Kalamata, Mykonos, Rhodes and Thessaloniki). It operates a fleet of 64 aircraft, including Airbus A320neo and A321neo.
