AEGEAN announces its new winter program 2023/2024 with nine new connections And three new countries servedAnd seven extended summer routes in the winter season.

Among the new features, the private Greek company offers travelers departing from Athens the opportunity to explore new destinations, such as Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Luxor and Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt), Innsbruck (Austria), Bratislava (Slovakia). , Baku (Azerbaijan), Chisinau (Moldova), while for the first time it offers passengers from Thessaloniki the possibility of flying directly to Cairo (Egypt).

AEGEAN also maintains summer routes from Athens to Bristol and Birmingham, Malaga, Bilbao, Tallinn and Riga, and from Thessaloniki to Barcelona, ​​supporting the extension of the tourist season, while simultaneously increasing frequency to important well-known tourist markets , for example by adding a second daily flight from Athens to Frankfurt.

With more than 18 routes to 14 countries compared to the previous winter program, while expanding operations in the Middle East, North Africa and the Balkans, “ the new winter program aims to continually offer new options to travelers, but also to offer more attractive seasonal destinations for the non-summer period (such as Sharm El Sheikh, Luxor, Innsbruck) after the successful experience of flights to Marrakech in the winter season former », explains AEGEAN, the leading airline in Greece.

At the same time, it contributes to “year-round tourism” by maintaining regular flights from/to Rhodes, Heraklion and Kalamata until November, while starting a new summer season at the beginning of March 2024. In the same direction, AEGEAN operates charter flights from Rhodes, within the framework of a special program implemented in cooperation with foreign tour operators, offering 35,000 available seats, to 22 European destinations in 8 countries, between October and December 2023, and February and May 2024.

AEGEAN’s new and improved winter program continues the very strong first nine months of 2023, as evidenced by the latest passenger traffic data. The Greek company transported more than 11.9 million passengers between January and September 2023 (including 7.1 million on the international network), an increase of 30% compared to the same period last year. Its financial results were also positive in the 3rd (third) quarter of the year, compared to the same quarter of 2022 (having already recorded strong performance).
