While the terminal A will open to the public from November 1 and the Etihad Airways ceremonial flight is scheduled to take place today, manager Abu Dhabi Airports announced that all main services and facilities are now ready to welcome the first passengers of the new terminal.

During the transition period from November 1 to 14, 2023, all terminals (Terminals A, 1, 2 and 3) at Abu Dhabi International Airport will operate simultaneously. From November 15, all airlines will operate exclusively from Terminal A.

The countdown to the official opening of Terminal A is in full swing: Abu Dhabi Airports has launched a print, digital and broadcast awareness campaign to ensure passengers and airport visitors know which terminal they should go to and also advises customers to check www.abudhabiairport.ae regularly. They are also advised to check travel information with their respective airlines before traveling to the airport or picking up passengers at the airport. Even so, for those who get lost, Abu Dhabi Airports provides inter-terminal shuttles to transport passengers who wish to move quickly between terminals to their correct departure point.

Part of the awareness campaign also involves informing the general public of the exact location of the new terminal, which was recently added to all geolocation applications, such as Google Maps and Waze. Reaching Terminal A by car is a quick and effortless journey from Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with road signage now clearly marked on the E10 and E11 and at other locations in and around the new terminal. Those taking a taxi or public transportation to the new terminal can be dropped off directly at the terminal.

We look forward to welcoming passengers to the state-of-the-art Terminal A when it opens to the public on November 1. The new terminal will bring a significant increase in capacity and access to world-class facilities for passengers and airlines. We strongly suggest passengers traveling between 1st and 14th November check the latest flight information on the Abu Dhabi International Airport website, or with their airline, to confirm which terminal they will be flying to“insisted Frank McCrorie, Director of Airport Operations at Abu Dhabi Airports.
