In his new role as CEO, the former Vice President of Sales of Sun Siyam Resorts, Deepak Booneady now oversees the overall operation of the business, and works closely with the Group General Manager, the management teams of the various resorts, as well as the Head Office Board of Directors to create, implement and share the organization’s vision, mission and overall direction.
Sun Siyam Resorts is a multi-award winning Maldivian hotel group with over 30 years of experience, owning and managing five luxury island resorts in the Maldives and a beach resort on the east coast of Sri Lanka.

During his previous assignment as VP Commercial at Sun Siyam Resorts, the company experienced substantial development thanks to his undeniable vision for growth. Over the past three years and during the Covid-19 pandemic,
Deepak Booenady has successfully led his team through difficult times, while restructuring the brand and exploring new methods of business management.

Deepak Booneady has over twenty-five years of experience in the luxury travel and hospitality industry. He joined Sun Siyam Resorts as Group Business Development Director in 2019 and was promoted to Vice President of Sales in 2021. After working with Mauritian hotel group LUX* Resorts and Hotels as Regional Sales Director and marketing overseeing product promotion and business development, Deepak Booneady also played a key role in driving sales and product positioning.
