Hôtel Akena, a 100% French and independent group, has chosen the Grand Est region and the town of Hoerdt, a few kilometers from Strasbourg, to expand its presence in France.
A hotel on a human scale
Made up of 65 rooms for 80 beds, the Akena Hoerdt Hotel will join the thirty establishments which today make up the group and promote the brand to the four corners of France. With €8 million invested for this new construction, this new 3-star hotel is part of a proactive development dynamic which will support the local ecosystem by generating around ten jobs. It will offer all the comfort and services expected by increasingly demanding customers, thus fulfilling one of Marc Plisson’s wishes “to make Hôtel Akena a reference in contemporary, eco-responsible and designer French hotels where hospitality rhymes with art of living.” He continues, “our objective is to be the alternative to large groups by offering establishments based on the pillars of hospitality, with markers of lifestyle identity and a local touch”.
Between Strasbourg and Germany
Built just a few kilometers from Strasbourg and close to the German border as well as the new interchange which connects Paris to Germany, the Akena Hoerdt Hotel has a privileged location in this quiet town. A voluntary choice by the group in order to offer easy access to its customers, whether leisure or business, a specificity that is found in all of the locations of its establishments.
A first stone for this new establishment
Marc Plisson, President of the Hôtel Akena group, along with Denis Riedinger, Mayor of Hoerdt and President of the Community of Commune of Basse Zorn, had the pleasure of sharing together the laying of the first stone of this new establishment of the group which will open its doors to the public in June 2024.

It aspires to the creation of a new generation of hotel establishments which place the customer at the heart of their hotel, from the moment they arrive. Comfortable spaces, warm welcome, impeccable services, rooms with modern and functional design. Marc Plisson has also been building for some time a clear environmental charter favoring short circuits as much as possible (choice of materials, fresh breakfast products, etc.).
With the laying of this first stone in Hoerdt, Hôtel Akena confirms its ambitions of development and establishment in the Grand Est region and in France, by modernizing and renewing its park through renovations, but also the construction of new buildings which will over time enrich the family of Akena Hotels.
