JetBlue Airways has decided to install 162 seats rather than the originally planned 165 seats in retrofitting each of its Airbus A320 jets with new cabin interiors. Each JetBlue A320 currently has 150 seats, so JetBlue’s A320 cabin refurbishment will see it add 12 more seats in each aircraft.

American Airlines has re-introduced to service the second of its original 76 Boeing 737-800s that it has upgraded to feature a new cabin interior, an improved in-flight entertainment system and additional storage for passengers’ carry-on bags. The airline is upgrading the interiors of all 76 to match the customer amenities on the 84 new 737-800s that American ordered in 2008.
