Southwest began service to Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport in 1997. The airline added Branson Airport and Key West International Airport to its route network in 2012 as part of its integration with AirTran Airways following its takeover of that airline. Southwest Airlines will start service at Branson on March 9, 2013, with daily non-stop flights to Dallas Love Field, Houston Hobby Airport and Chicago Midway Airport, and Saturday-only service to Orlando. Branson will become the 79th destination in Southwest’s route network.
