Bangkok Airways has been operating ATR aircraft for two decades and currently operates eight ATR 72-500 turboprops. Its first new ATR 72-600 will be delivered later this year, allowing Bangkok Airways to start renewing its fleet.

Under the deal, Helsinki-based Finnair is placing its ‘AY’ flight code on Bangkok Airways’ flights linking Bangkok with Koh Samui, Phuket and Chiang Mai, as well as on Bangkok Airways’ Singapore-Koh Samui and Hong Kong-Koh Samui services.
