Indonesian low-cost carrier Lion Air has placed a firm order with Airbus for 234 A320-family aircraft, among them 109 A320neos, 65 A321neos and 60 A320 current engine option aircraft.

The two new options allow more flexibility and increase the number of seats which can be installed, for the same comfort standard, according to Airbus. In addition, the new options raise the Airbus A321neo’s maximum exit limit beyond 220 seats, to as many as 236.
