United Airlines and Chase Card Services are offering three new credit cards designed for travelers who desire added comfort when they travel or want to earn mileage points faster for their next award trip.

The three cards ― all of which have annual fees associated ― are the United Mileage Plus Club Visa Card, the United Mileage Plus Access Visa Card and the United Mileage Plus Select Visa Card.


Benefits associated with one or more of the new cards include membership in United’s Red Carpet Club, seating in United’s Economy Plus cabins, up to 5,000 or 10,000 miles that count toward elite status, or double and triple miles toward redeeming an award ticket.

The United Mileage Plus Club Visa Card (which has a $375 annual fee attached) offers annual Red Carpet Club membership as a cardholder or the ability to give it as a gift; the ability to earn up to 10,000 miles per year toward elite status; two mileage points earned for every one dollar spent with United, with no cap on the number of miles earned; one mileage point earned for every one dollar spent on all other purchases, with no cap on the number of miles earned; and Mileage Plus priority cardholder service, provided by specially trained advisors.

The $275-a-year United Mileage Plus Access Visa Card  offers extra legroom in Economy Plus for cardholders and a guest traveling together on domestic and international flights; the ability to earn up to 10,000 miles per year toward elite status; two, one-time Red Carpet Club passes every year; one mileage point earned for every one dollar spent on all purchases, with no cap on the number of miles earned; and Mileage Plus priority cardholder service, provided by specially-trained advisors.

Costing $130 annually, the United Mileage Plus Select Visa Card offers triple mileage points on all United purchases; double miles on Star Alliance airline ticket, gas, home improvement, grocery and dining purchases; one mile for every one dollar spent on all purchases, with no cap on the number of miles earned; confers 5,000 bonus anniversary miles every year; and the ability to earn up to 5,000 miles per year toward elite status on united.com purchases.
