Until the end of the year, American Airlines is offering double mileage points to all members of the AAdvantage frequent-flyer program living in the Greater New York area every time they fly on American, American Eagle or AmericanConnection ― no matter where the trip begins or ends.
To qualify, New York-area AAdvantage members must register at www.aa.com/nydbl prior to travel and fly between July 29 and December 31.
“From the Greater New York area airports, American offers 210 daily flights and 63 nonstop destinations ― 29 of them international, including nonstop service to Tokyo, South America, the Caribbean, and seven cities in Europe,” says Jim Carter, American’s vice president – Eastern sales division.
At New York John F. Kennedy International Airport, American’s new Terminal 8 ― a $1.3 billion facility covering 1.5 million square feet ― provides 84 ticketing positions and 44 self-service check-in machines; reserved premium-class check-in and security lanes; 10 security checkpoints that can process up to 1,800 passengers per hour; two Admirals Club lounges and a Flagship lounge; an expanded customs and immigration facility for international travel; and 45 retail shops and restaurants.
American Airlines and its affiliate regional airlines also fly from the Greater New York-area airports New York LaGuardia, Newark Liberty International and Westchester County Airport.
