Hotel management company McKibbon Hotel Group, Inc has completed a major renovation of the 78-room Courtyard by Marriott Asheville’s lobby, the completion marking Marriott’s 200th ‘Refreshing Business’ conversion of a Courtyard hotel.

The Courtyard by Marriott Asheville features a completely redesigned lobby space, designed to give travelers the flexibility to work and socialize as they choose while on the road.

The open, contemporary-looking new Courtyard by Marriott lobby’s design features vivid contrasting colors to create a welcoming feeling for guests. The traditional front desk has been replaced with separate welcome pedestals to create more personal and private interactions at check-in. Flexible seating options range from a communal table in the middle of the lobby, to more private media booths with high-definition televisions, to a more intimate, semi-enclosed lounge area.

An important element of the new Courtyard by Marriott Asheville lobby is Courtyard’s exclusive GoBoard technology, which is a 52-inch high-definition LCD touch screen which offers local information, maps, weather reports and news. Guests are invited to navigate the touch screen to find restaurants, area attractions and directions located near the Courtyard by Marriott Asheville.

Free wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel, and there are ample electrical outlets throughout the lobby to power guests’ digital devices. The business library features several complimentary computer terminals, along with a printer and separate computer stations dedicated to printing airline boarding passes and checking flight statuses.

Dining at the Courtyard by Marriott Asheville has been completely refreshed with ‘The Bistro – Eat. Drink. Connect.’ The new restaurant offers casual, flexible seating; easier access to food and higher quality, healthier menu options for breakfast; and also light evening fare, including snacks, mixed drinks, wine and beer.
