Embassy Suites Hotels has opened the Embassy Suites San Antonio Riverwalk – Downtown, located on the historic Riverwalk in central San Antonio.

The Embassy Suites San Antonio Riverwalk – Downtown incorporates the brand’s usual water feature, with water cascading over multiple waterfalls before flowing into the San Antonio River under the Paseo del Rio. The new property will include chef John Besh’s Franco German-inspired brasserie, Lüke, the chef’s first venture outside of the New Orleans area.


Located directly on the Riverwalk at 125 East Houston Street, the 285-suite hotel is operated by Dimension Development, of Natchitoches, Louisiana. Dimension Development has been the recipient of numerous development awards from Hilton Worldwide, including ‘2010 Conversion of the Year’ for The Roosevelt New Orleans, part of the Waldorf Astoria Collection. The Embassy Suites San Antonio Riverwalk – Downtown is owned by Blanco Rio, Ltd.

The Embassy Suites San Antonio Riverwalk – Downtown is the third Embassy Suites in the San Antonio area and the 22nd in Texas. The property features a panoramic, multi-story lobby oasis with direct views of the Riverwalk area. The full-service, all-suite property features 11,589 square feet of meeting space equipped to accommodate 900 guests indoors, while outdoor terraces offer options for a one-of-a-kind events.

Embassy Suites’ new San Antonio hotel is surrounded by shops, a wide variety of dining options, theaters, museums and theme parks. Attractively landscaped, the area features pathways, waterfalls, relaxing patios and outdoor art.

Chef John Besh will offer guests and San Antonio residents a menu filled with robust local flavors. The gastro-pub and beer house feel will set the standard for casual dining in an appealing space situated on the Riverwalk.

Embassy Suites’ new hotel offers guests all the complimentary amenities found in a traditional Embassy Suites, including two-room suites, cooked-to-order breakfasts, a Manager’s Reception each evening, a Precor fitness center and a business center. The hotel also has an outdoor pool for guests.

One-bedroom suites feature either one king bed or two queen beds, with a full-size sofa sleeper in the living room, while 11 two-bedroom suites offer a king bed in one room and two queen beds in the second bedroom. Guest bathrooms are appointed with granite counters, a tiled tub and shower surrounds. Riverview Suites come with excellent views of the San Antonio River.

All accommodations are equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, a spacious living and dining area, two 32-inch flat-screen TVs, an alarm clock/radio with MP3 connection, two phones with data ports, and wireless or wired high-speed Internet access.
