Commonwealth Hotels, Inc. has opened the newly constructed 123-room Hyatt Place Salt Lake City Airport hotel.
Located at 52 North Tommy Thompson Drive, the Hyatt Place hotel is the newest in the region. The hotel is a few minutes’ drive from downtown Salt Lake City, the Salt Palace Convention Center, the Gateway mall, the Rocky Mountain Raceway, and various other attractions and destinations.
The hotel was developed and is owned by a subsidiary of Corporex Companies, Inc. Corporex is a master developer based in Covington, Kentucky and does business throughout the USA. The hotel is operated by Commonwealth Hotels, LLC, a nationally recognized operator of fine hotels.
Each guestroom features multiple areas to work and relax and include the Cozy Corner, a plush eight-foot couch; a luxurious Hyatt Grand Bed; and an ergonomic work center. Every guestroom is also equipped with a state-of-the-art media center, featuring the Hyatt Plug Panel, a special connectivity tool that allows electronic devices to plug directly into the 42-inch high-definition television.
In the Gallery, the hotel’s public space, guests can socialize or be ‘alone together’ in a relaxed atmosphere. Hyatt Place Gallery Hosts, trained to do everything from give directions to whip up a fresh meal around the clock, can be found in this area.
Other 24-hour conveniences include a StayFit@Hyatt fitness center; a Bakery Cafe offering Starbucks specialty coffees, premium wine and beer and baked goods; the Grab ‘n Go case stocked with freshly made sandwiches and salads; and Guest Kitchen, where guests can also find a complimentary continental breakfast served daily.
There is complimentary Wi-Fi access throughout the hotel.
Commonwealth Hotels was founded in 1986 and currently manages more than 2,100 hotel rooms, with eight more hotels under development or construction.
