Carlson has announced the launch in the Americas of Radisson Business Class, a comprehensive new Radisson Hotels & Resorts product-and-service offering developed around a concept the company calls “travel empathy”.

Radisson’s Business Class aims to provide guests with access to specialized amenities and services designed to ensure a seamless transition from the office to the hotel room.

To commemorate the debut  of the service in the Americas, Radisson is offering a special Business Class upgrade promotional rate. From September 1 to October 31, 2010, members of its goldpoints plus guest loyalty program (and those who enroll) can obtain the Business Class upgrade for $5 at all Radisson hotels in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean, instead of the average $30 price.

“Empathy means being in the forefront of understanding trends, travelers’ needs and lifestyle changes,” notes Thorsten Kirschke, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Carlson Hotels, The Americas. “One of the key priorities of our Ambition 2015 growth strategy is to enhance services for travelers who choose to be our guests.”

Radisson Business Class is part of the ‘World of Radisson’, a series of globally consistent services and amenities, designed with guests’ unique requirements in mind. Business Class is already available at Radisson hotels throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and in addition to expanding to the Americas it is scheduled to be launched in the Asia Pacific region by mid-Autumn. By the end of 2010, Business Class will be available in more than 400 Radisson hotels in more than 70 countries around the world.

Globally, the Radisson Business Class product features an upgraded room; breakfast for one; a complimentary newspaper delivered daily to the guest’s room; turn-down service; and upgraded room amenities.

In addition to the amenities available globally, Business Class at all Radisson hotels in the Americas features an award of 1,000 bonus Gold Points per night, and early check-in based on room availability. All guests at Radisson hotels in the Americas receive free Internet, a service of particular value to business travelers.
