May 3: In a new ‘Unexpected Bonus’ promotion, Marriott Rewards members who make two paid stays of two consecutive nights or more between May 15 and September 2, 2013 at participating Marriott International hotels will earn a free night certificate after each second paid stay. Certificates are good at all category 1-5 hotels around the world. Members can earn up to two free nights during the Unexpected Bonus promotion, if they make at least four paid stays. Free nights can be redeemed up to 12 months from the date the certificate is issued. Registration is required by July 31, 2013. April 29: The southern Caribbean island of Barbados is offering free spending money for island experiences. With the ‘Barbados Island Inclusive’, guests receive “free spending money” vouchers based on their length of stay for use at participating attractions and restaurants while on-island. With a minimum stay of five nights, guests will receive $150.00 per person and on stays of seven nights or longer guests will receive $200.00 per person based on a maximum of two persons per room. Vouchers will be distributed to guests upon hotel check-in. The offer is available for travel through December 21, 2013 but trips must be booked through June 22 in order to qualify for the offer. Most island hotel properties are participating in the campaign, which offers vouchers at more than 30 attractions and restaurants throughout the island.
