A new 20-room luxury hotel, restaurant and spa called Hotel Luca plans to open this fall in Yountville, in the heart of California’s famous Napa Valley.

Hotel Luca will have a villa-like stone tower, arched walkways and European lime plaster and will feature outdoor terraces and intimate seating areas for hotel guests. Guests at the restaurant will be able to dine al fresco in a setting ringed by olive trees and overlooking a courtyard with a fountain.

A landscaped oasis is being created at the hotel’s pool, which will have stepped terraces where one may refresh in the water without being fully immersed. The pool will be complemented by a warm-water massaging pool and will be surrounded by a privacy wall and landscaping. The Luca Spa will feature a Zen Garden and a large signature lavender-saltwater soaking pool complete with water wall and fireplace.

Located at 6774 Washington Street in Yountville, Hotel Luca will be managed by Mirabel Hotel & Restaurant Group. The group is owned by David Fink, managing partner of the new hotel, and operates properties in Carmel-by-the-Sea. The company’s flagship property, L’Auberge Carmel, is a Relais & Chateaux member.

Cantinetta Piero, Hotel Luca’s restaurant, is named in honor of winemaker Piero Antinori and is modeled after the open-air lifestyle of Tuscany. Under a 15-foot ceiling with massive beams and vaulted brick ceilings, the entrance will lead guests past a wine display to tables, a pizza bar and wood-burning oven, and an open kitchen which will feature a salami-curing room.

The hotel’s rooftops feature 200-year-old tiles from the town of Lucca in Italy. Guest rooms will have flat-screen TVs, music systems and recessed lighting. Upholstered, dark-toned furniture will be complemented by fine art. All rooms will have large bathrooms with radiant floor heat, double sinks, large soaking tubs and separate showers. Many of the guest rooms will also feature fireplaces and balconies.

Introductory rates at Hotel Luca will range from $295-$650 per night and include breakfast for two. Travelers seeking to book future reservations or looking for further information may telephone 707-944-8080 or visit the hotel’s web site at www.hotellucanapa.com.
