Three more new eateries have opened at the new Airmall at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE), part of Airmall developer BAA Cleveland’s continuing transformation of dining and retail concessions at the airport.
Located in the Concourse C Food Court, the new additions began operating this week and offer fare as diverse as fruit smoothies and meaty sandwiches. They are:
Bananas Smoothies & Frozen Yogurt, aimed at passengers looking for healthy alternatives. The unit serves fruit smoothies, frozen yogurt and a variety of healthy snacks;
Green Leaf’s. . .Beyond Great Salads, featuring fresh-tossed salads made to order, wraps, grilled panini sandwiches and homemade soups; and
McAlister’s Deli, which serves hearty deli fare, including sandwiches loaded with cold-cuts, along with its Famous Sweet Tea.
Outlets of Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen and Bruegger’s Bagels had previously opened at the Airmall at CLE, and outlets of Auntie Anne’s Pretzels and Cleveland’s Great Lakes Brewing Company have signed leases to be food-retail concessions at the new airport mall. Various other, non-food, retail and services outlets are already tenants at the Airmall or have signed leases to become tenants.
The City of Cleveland signed a 10-year contract with BAA Cleveland in February 2008 to develop and manage concessions at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. The city anticipates that the new Airmall at CLE will double retail sales figures at Hopkins over a 10-year period, double the number of concession jobs and double the current participation rate of local and minority-owned companies.
When it is completed, the new Airmall at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport will occupy 76,000 square feet of retail space.
