Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort, a luxury, Green Globe-certified St. Lucia resort hotel, is marking its 21st birthday with a new villa-refurbishment program and a ‘Forever 21’ Caribbean vacation package.
‘Forever 21’ provides a complimentary rejuvenation program for all guests who stay a minimum of five nights from November 1, 2010 through November 20, 2011.
Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort is refurbishing many of its two- and three-bedroom villas as part of a $500,000 overhaul, with completion planned for the end of October. The renovation comes just a year after a separate $700,000-plus investment, in which the resort renovated its Anthurium Lily suites, introducing mahogany four-poster beds draped with white cloth, sun decks with a sea view, marble bathrooms and 27-inch plasma televisions in each room.
The new work will see 20 of Windjammer Landing’s villas fully restored to the way they were originally designed by iconic Barbadian architect Ian Morrison. Kitchens will be completely replaced with granite work surfaces and fabrics used throughout will feature rustic Balinese prints. Bathrooms will feature hand-painted Mexican sinks and tiles.
All of the Caribbean resort’s 128 villas have covered private terraces and sun decks, air-conditioned bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, living and dining areas with Caribbean sunset views, cable TV and CD and DVD players. The villas, most of which have their own plunge pools, can accommodate between two and eight adults. The villas offer privacy for couples and families alike.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be embarking upon this latest phase in our refurbishment program here in the Caribbean. We received such positive feedback from our new Anthurium Lily suites; we know our refurbished villas will ensure that our guests can continue to enjoy the very best at Windjammer Landing, St. Lucia,” says Anthony Bowen, Windjammer Landing’s managing director.
The latest refurbishment comes as the luxury resort prepares to celebrate its 21st birthday in November 2010. To mark the milestone, the Caribbean resort is offering all guests who stay a minimum of five nights a ‘Forever 21’ vacation package to help them feel rejuvenated.
Each party will also receive Sun Dollars (Windjammer Landing’s own resort credit), which can be redeemed for St. Lucia tours, trips, transfers, room upgrades, food, drinks and more. Sun Dollars credits range from $50 to $200 per night based on accommodation selected. Through December 19, nightly double occupancy suite rates start from $134, and villa rates start at $247. Kids ages 11 and under stay free when sharing Hibiscus Suites and Villa accommodations with their parents.
The ‘Forever 21′ package includes a 21-themed spa treatment, including a hydrating refresher facial and body scrub (one treatment per person); a Jammers Sunset Cruise; a 21-themed cocktail for two at Jammer’s Bar, the cocktail being violet-colored to represent the gemstone Iolite (associated with 21st anniversaries); a shopping trip to nearby Rodney Bay; and the choice of a 21-themed dinner catered in the guests’ accommodation or a party with margaritas and martinis, for $21 per person.
Windjammer Landing is situated on the northwest coast of the island of St. Lucia and is set into 60 acres of lush hillside, which wrap around its private, crescent-shaped beach. The Caribbean resort has five à la carte restaurants serving a wide variety of cuisines, three bars, six swimming pools, floodlit tennis courts and the full-service Serenity Spa. Adjacent to the property is the championship St. Lucia Country Club golf course.
Guests can also benefit from Windjammer Landing’s complimentary Jacquot Kids Club, teen programming, comprehensive water sports center, or join one of the many St. Lucia trips and excursions which run from the Caribbean resort regularly.
