Like several other hotel companies and privately owned accommodations, Omni Hotels is promoting some of its hotels as exciting places at which to celebrate Hallowe’en because of their reputedly haunted nature.

Omni also has created four signature cocktails for revelers to sip on to commemorate Hallowe’en with a scary-looking drink.

Omni Hotels' new 'Red Widow' Hallowe'en cocktail is a mixture of Skyy Infusions Citrus, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup and pomegranate juice, garnished with Twizzler ropes, a lemon wheel and candy corn. In 2009 the company has created four signature Hallowe'en cocktails for guests at its hotels to try

The historic Omni Parker House in Boston is reputedly haunted by the ghost of Harvey Parker, the hotel’s founder, who materializes in certain guests’ rooms to inquire about their stay. In addition, elevators at the Omni Parker House have been known to travel to the third floor, where novelist Charles Dickens once lived, without a single button being pushed.

Guests at the Omni Shoreham Hotel’s “Ghost Suite” in Washington, D.C. have reported televisions and lights turning on by themselves in the middle of the night, while guests in adjacent rooms have heard loud noises coming from the suite ― while it was unoccupied.

At the famous Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, guests in room 314 have reported seeing a socialite named Princess Carolyn, the widow of the hotel’s first owner, standing at the foot of their bed and lost in thought as she brushes her hair. Princess Carolyn’s spirit is believed to watch over the hotel which was built for her, knocking politely on doors, and visiting the ornate maple four-poster bed in room 314, which traveled around the world with her.

To celebrate Hallowe’en, Omni partnered with a master mixologist to create four new signature Hallowe’en cocktails for guests in each of its 45 North American hotels to try. The cocktails include:

● Red Widow: a mixture of Skyy Infusions Citrus, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup and pomegranate juice, garnished with Twizzler ropes, a lemon wheel and candy corn;

● Trick ‘R’ Treat: a cocktail made with white rum, lime juice, simple syrup and Midori, topped with a lime dimple and featuring assorted Halloween candy;

● Bond’s Eye: for the martini lover, this drink fuses Plymouth Gin, Ketel One Vodka and Lillet and is finished with a Lychee “Eyeball” stuffed with a blueberry; and

● Red Eye: a mixture of Absolut Vanilla Vodka, Grand Marnier, orange juice and strawberry puree; also garnished with a Lychee “Eyeball” with blueberry and strawberry puree.
