In winter twilight, which in December descends at around 2 p.m. in Lapland in the far north of Finland, the view from the top of Levi fell of the landscape of snow-covered forests, icebound lakes and distant fells is hauntingly beautiful. Levi lies some 150 kilometres above the Arctic Circle

This is the town of Sirkka, seen from the top of the front slope on Levi fell. The town and the entire resort area is often just called Levi, after the hill that is the main reason for the resort's existence

A beautiful, warm and cozy restaurant called Tuikku (which means 'tealight candle' in English) stands atop Levi fell in Lapland. Since Levi is the highest fell in Lapland, at 530 metres (1,739 feet), Tuikku offers magnificent views for many miles in every direction in good weather

The restaurant Tiukku on top of Levi fell, the highest point in Finnish Lapland, serves delicious, authentic Lappish food such as smoked reindeer cheese soup and smoked salmon and whitefish open sandwiches on traditional malted rye bread

The name of the restaurant Tuikku on top of Levi fell, the highest hill in Finnish Lapland, means 'tealight candle'. The interior of the restaurant is made warm and cozy by the light of dozens of the candles for which Tuikku is named
