MeadowView Marriott Conference Resort & Convention Center, located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains at Kingsport, Tennessee, has completed a multi-million dollar guestroom renovation and expansion.
The construction of 110 additional Kingsport hotel rooms coincided with an existing 195-room renovation project and brought the resort up to 305 guestroom accommodations. Two new 55-room towers now feature in the grounds of the mountain retreat.
“The stylish new guest rooms are richly appointed and eco-friendly,” says Andy King, general manager of the MeadowView Marriott Conference Resort & Convention Center. “It is exciting to be able to offer our guests a fresh ‘home away from home’ ambience, complete with every imaginable amenity.”
All newly appointed guest rooms are decked out with rich furnishings, carpeting, wall coverings, LCD TVs complete with Marriott’s new plug in technology, refrigerators and Marriott’s Revive Bedding package.
The transformation also involves the hotel’s grounds,with the addition of a new indoor swimming pool, a outdoor sun deck, a hydrotherapy pool and a fitness center boasting the latest cardio theater equipment. The Kingsport hotel is also home to the Cattails at Meadowview championship golf course, a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.
This hotel currently features 66,000 square feet of function space all under one roof, with more meeting space on the way. By November, the Tri City hotel will boast more than 87,000 square feet of function space including three amphitheatres, three ballrooms, numerous board rooms and conference rooms, as well as a reception area overlooking the golf course.
Additional on-site amenities include the Meadows Restaurant and Starbucks. For the outdoor enthusiast, nearby amenities include white-water rafting; fly fishing; and hiking or walking at the Bays Mountain Nature Preserve area, only minutes from the resort.
