United Airlines has announced its schedule for the airline’s new service between Washington and Lagos, Nigeria, which begins on December 12.
Lagos is United Airlines’ second destination on the African continent.
United’s flight UA990 will depart Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) daily at 10:43 p.m., arriving at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport(LOS) at 5:35 p.m. the next day after a stop at Accra, Ghana’s Kotoka International Airport (ACC).
U.S.-bound service from LOS begins on December 13 with the departure of UA991 at 9:30 p.m. After a stop at ACC, the flight will arrive at IAD the next day at 6:11 a.m.
United says it has timed its flights to and from Lagos to provide connections to and from dozens of points in North America. At its hub in Washington Dulles, United operates nearly 300 daily departures.
United will operate its flights to Lagos with Boeing 767-300ERs featuring United’s International Premium Travel Experience. Customers in United First and United Business have access to more than 150 hours of on-demand entertainment on 15.4-inch personal monitors, can connect their iPods via connectivity outlets and are seated in fully lie-flat seats.
The airline’s Boeing 767-300ERs feature six seats in United First, 26 seats in United Business, and 151 seats in United Economy, including 74 United Economy Plus seats with added legroom and more personal space.
United says its flight schedule between Washington and Lagos is subject to change and is subject to government approval.
