Ultimate Air Shuttle is launching four-times-weekly jet service from Cincinnati Municipal Lunken Field Airport to Charlotte Douglas International Airport, North Carolina on June 18, in an expansion of its ‘scheduled-charter’ network.
According to the company, the new schedule will allow passengers to leave the near-downtown Cincinnati Municipal Lunken Field Airport (LUK) at 6:45 a.m. and return to LUK the same day by 6:45 p.m. Ultimate Air Shuttle will operate the flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, using 30-seat Fairchild Dornier 328JET regional jets.
At Cincinnati Municipal Lunken Field Airport, Ultimate Air Shuttle passengers depart from the Ultimate Air/Landmark South building at 4700 Airport Road.
Meanwhile, at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) Ultimate Air Shuttle will use the Wilson Air Center fixed base operator (used by business jet aviation clients) as its arrival and departure terminal. Transportation can be arranged to downtown Charlotte for a nominal charge.
Ultimate Air Shuttle already provides four-times-weekly service from Cincinnati Municipal Lunken Field Airport to and from Morristown Municipal Airport in New Jersey (some 30 miles from downtown New York) and to Chicago Midway Airport (MDW).
The carrier flies to both destinations on the same Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday schedule, leaving Lunken Airport between 6:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. and returning between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Last fall, Ultimate Air Shuttle expanded its service by offering flights from Columbus Municipal Airport (BAK) in Indiana to Detroit on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Columbus, Indiana is about a 90-minute drive from Cincinnati. In 2011, also, Ultimate Air Shuttle planned a service from Lunken Field to Washington Dulles International Airport, though this flight is no longer offered.
According to the carrier, its Charlotte shuttle service will offer the same VIP amenities as those its passengers now receive when traveling to and from Morristown and Chicago.
Passengers leave from the hassle-free Lunken Airport, with shorter pre-flight arrival times, free parking, no baggage fees and first-class accommodations on every jet, and return the same day, or stay as long as they desire.
“This is the next phase in our expansion plan,” said Rick Pawlak, managing director of Ultimate Air Shuttle. “Charlotte, North Carolina is a wonderful city with a high number of business travelers. Business travelers can now get to Charlotte fast and stress-free on the Ultimate Air Shuttle.”
Adds Pawlak: “In addition, the leisure traveler can enjoy our shuttle service and visit any one of our three cities for a long weekend. Charlotte offers so many fun things to do for the family planning their summer vacation.”
Charlotte is known for its NASCAR visitors, but there is plenty more to see and do in the area. The Billy Graham Library is in Charlotte, as is a top-rated amusement park, Carowinds. The National Whitewater Center is close by for thrill-seeking water enthusiasts. With more than 210 parks, the county surrounding Charlotte makes a good choice for those seeking outdoors vacations.
Ultimate Jet Charters, the parent company of Ultimate Air Shuttle, operates eight Fairchild Dornier 328JET 30-seat regional jets offering business and leisure clients around the U.S. a private on-demand service. Ultimate Air Shuttle also services thousands of college athletes around the country throughout the collegiate sports season, in addition to serving Fortune 500 companies.
