Ultimate Air Shuttle has begun four-times weekly shuttle charter service to Chicago Midway Airport (MDW) from Cincinnati Municipal Lunken Field Airport (LUK) with 30-seat Fairchild Dornier 328JET regional jets.
The company’s flight leaves LUK at 7:30 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays Thursdays and Fridays and arrives at MDW at 7:30 a.m. local time. On the way back, the flight departs MDW at 5:15 p.m. and lands at LUK at 7:15 p.m. local time. A one-way flight costs $275 and a round trip $445. All Ultimate Air Shuttle seats are booked through Public Charters, Inc, which requires every passenger to agree to a tour operators participant agreement to complete the booking.
Ultimate Air Shuttle, which departs from fixed-base operators’ private-flight facilities at each airport it serves, offers complimentary valet parking at Lunken and a free courtesy shuttle to the main terminal. By offering service from Cincinnati’s downtown, hassle-free Lunken Field, Ultimate Air Shuttle says it is able to offer shorter pre-flight arrival times. The company also does not charge for baggage and provides first-class accommodations on every jet, and travelers can return the same day if desired.
“This is the next step in our expansion plan,” says Rick Pawlak, Ultimate Air Shuttle’s director of business development. “Chicago is a wonderful city with a high number of business travelers. Business travelers can now get to Chicago fast and stress free on our shuttle. In addition, the leisure traveler can enjoy our shuttle service and visit Chicago or New York City for a long weekend.”
The new shuttle service to MDW builds on Ultimate Air Shuttle’s four-times-weekly round-trips (also booked through Public Charters, Inc) between LUK and Morristown Municipal Airport (MMU) in New Jersey, near New York. The flights depart LUK at 6:30 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thrusdays and Fridays and arrive at MMU at 8:00 a.m. On the way back, the flights leave MMU at 5:15 p.m. and reach LUK at 7:00 p.m.
Ultimate Air Shuttle’s Cincinnati-Morristown flights are priced at $345 one-way or $595 return. Through an arrangement with ground transportation company My Limo, Ultimate Air Shuttle passengers can book two-way ‘Morristown to Manhattan Shuttle’ limousine transportation between MMU and New York’s Penn Station, on 31st Street and Seventh Avenue.
As an introductory special, Ultimate Air Shuttle is offering a ‘buy one ticket and get the second at half price’ deal on its Chicago and New York flights. Reservations can be made online or by calling 800-437-3931.
In addition to its growing shuttle program, Ultimate transports thousands of college athletes around the country throughout the collegiate sports season. Upon its expansion into the Cincinnati market last year for service to the New York area, the company says it saw a need for the Cincinnati-Chicago route as well. Passengers fly into Midway Airport and enjoy the private amenities of Odyssey’s fixed base operation center.
Akron-Canton, Ohio-based Ultimate Jetcharters, the parent company of Ultimate Air Shuttle, has nine Fairchild Dornier 328JET 30-seat regional jets which offer private on-demand service to customers around the United States. The aircraft were built in 2001 or later, are powered by Pratt & Whitney PW 306B engines and equipped with Honeywell Primus 2000 Avionics. The company’s 328JETs cruise at 450mph, can fly sectors of up to 1,000 miles, can take off from and land on 4,800-foot runways and are certified to fly throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Caribbean.
“It seems that people are tired of long delays, long lines and arriving early so they can be squeezed into a seat on a full plane. We offer the convenience and luxury of first-class travel at rates, more times than not, for less than a coach ticket, making Ultimate Air Shuttle a luxury anyone can afford,” says Pawlak.
The company says it was created to give business and leisure travelers a private-jet charter experience and that demand has helped it grow its business to include the everyday business traveler or the family looking for a better way to fly.
