Damien Vasta, head of commercial for Strategic Airlines, says the weekend schedule would give Brisbane-based leisure travellers more options for holidays in Bali and far greater access to flights.

“Bali has always been a popular destination for South East Queenslanders, and they will now find it easier to explore holiday packages in Bali, whether they want to stay there for three nights, six nights, eight nights or more,” says Vasta. “With our new service we are significantly boosting seat capacity while providing extremely affordable travel to Denpasar, with introductory fares starting from only A$339 one-way.”

From December 3, the Brisbane-Townsville service will depart Brisbane International Airport (BNE) every Friday and Sunday at 9:50 a.m., arriving at Townsville Airport (TSV) at 12:00 noon. The onward flights to Denpasar’s Ngurah Rai Airport (DPS) will then depart TSV at 1:30 p.m. and arrive at DPS at 4.45 p.m. local time.

The return flights will depart DPS at 9:30 a.m. every Saturday and Monday morning, and arrive back at TSV at 4:15 p.m. local time. Onward flights to Brisbane will then depart TSV every Saturday and Monday at 5:45 p.m. and arrive at BNE at 7:40 p.m.

In-flight services will include complimentary meals and refreshments, along with a carefully selected entertainment program available throughout the flight.

Introductory fares from Brisbane to Townsville start at $89 one-way, and fares from Townsville to Bali start at $199 one-way. Bookings can be made online at from September 17.
