Porter Airlines is adding two more daily flights to its Toronto-Newark schedule this spring, increasing the number of daily round-trips it operates between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport to 13 on weekdays.
The first new flight starts on March 26, with a second flight beginning on April 16 and the carrier offering additional weekend services from March 25.
Porter Airlines says the new Toronto-Newark schedule also provides a wider range of morning, afternoon and evening departures for passengers.
“Demand for our Toronto-New York route continues to increase and we are responding with additional flights,” says Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. “Porter offers the only service between downtown Toronto and New York, which is one of the reasons we’ve become a top choice for business and leisure travellers between the two markets.”
Porter Airlines says it offers the fastest available travel time between downtown Toronto and downtown Manhattan.
Earlier this winter, the airline has launched a new non-stop service between Newark and the ski resort destination of Mt. Tremblant in Quebec.
Porter Airlines currently offers flights to Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Moncton, Halifax, St. John’s, Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury, Timmins, Windsor, Newark Liberty International Airport, Chicago Midway, Boston Logan, and has seasonal flights to Mt. Tremblant, Myrtle Beach in South Carolina and Burlington in Vermont.

Porter Airlines’ home base at Toronto City Centre Airport is only a 10-minute ride on the free shuttle bus that the airline provides to the city’s famous York Hotel and Union Station.
Passengers arriving at Billy Bishop City Centre Airport can easily walk to some downtown hotels which aren’t airport hotels. One such is the Radisson Admiral Hotel – Toronto Harbourfront.
