Lufthansa has announced three more leisure destinations to be served by its new lower-cost, long-haul operation internally code-named ‘Jump’.

From December 2015 until April 2016, Jump will operate twice-weekly, Lufthansa-branded services linking Frankfurt Airport (IATA code FRA) with Cancún in Mexico, Malé in The Maldives and Mauritius.

Jump will operate each of the three winter-season services using Airbus A340-300 widebodies, each configured to seat 18 passengers in Business Class, 19 in Premium Economy and 261 in Economy.

Lufthansa announced previously that the Jump operation’s first destination would be Tampa International Airport in Florida, to be served from September 2015. The new operation will initially expand to a fleet of 14 A340-300s, all of which are currently in Lufthansa’s mainline fleet.

Jump’s round-trips between Frankfurt and Cancún can be booked from €919; to Malé from €629; and to Mauritius from €799. Further information and flight bookings can be found at LH.com.

The flights can also be booked with Lufthansa’s travel-agency partners and at Lufthansa ticket desks in airports. At www.lufthansaholidays.com, Lufthansa also offers travel packages including flights and hotels for all new holiday destinations.

Lufthansa will offer FlyNet, its wireless broadband Internet service, on all Jump services.

Jump’s schedule for its Frankfurt-Cancún services will see flight LH514 depart FRA at 2.35 p.m. on Tuesdays from December 8, 2015 and reach Cancún International Airport (CUN) at 8.05 p.m. local time. On Saturdays, LH514 will leave FRA at 7.45 a.m. and arrive at CUN 1.15 p.m. local time.

In the other direction, flight LH515 will vacate the gate at CUN at 9.35 p.m. on Tuesdays from December 8 and touch down at FRA at 2.50 p.m. the following day, local time. On Saturdays, the flight will leave CUN at 2:45 p.m. and get to FRA at 8:00 a,m, the following day, local time.

Jump will operate the twice-weekly Frankfurt-Cancún service until April 9, 2016 and Lufthansa is allocating block times of approximately 12 hours 30 minutes for each flight on the 4,653 nautical-mile (8,618-kilometer) route.

The schedule for Jump’s twice-weekly flights between Frankfurt and Malé, the capital of The Maldives, will see flight LH704 push back from the gate at FRA’s Terminal 1 at 7.50 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays from December 9, 2015 and touch down at Malé International Airport (MLE) at 9.30 a.m. the following day, local time.

In the other direction, flight LH705 will depart MLE at 11:00 a.m. on Thursdays and Sundays from December 10 and land at FRA at 5:40 p.m. local time.

Lufthansa will operate the twice-weekly Frankfurt-Malé service until April 10, 2016 and is allocating an average flight time of 9 hours 40 minutes for each of the 4,257-nautical mile (7,883-kilometer) sectors.

On the Frankfurt-Mauritius route, Jump will operate twice-weekly services from FRA on Thursdays and Sundays from December 10, 2015 through April 11, 2016.

Flight LH708 will leave FRA at 4:45 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays from December 10 and will land at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRC) in Mauritius at 7:05 a.m. the following morning, local time.

In the other direction, flight LH709 will depart MRC at 8:35 a.m. on Fridays and Mondays from December 11 and will get to FRA at 5:35 p.m. local time.

Lufthansa is allocating a average flight time of 11 hours 20 minutes for each sector of the FRA-MRC round-trip, the great-circle distance between the two airports calculated at 4,956 nautical miles (9,178 kilometers).
