Gulfstream International Airlines is launching service between Parkersburg, West Virginia and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport on October 1.
The airline will operate the service with 19-seat Beech 1900D turboprops under Gulfstream International Airlines’ ‘Continental Connection’ affiliation with Continental Airlines.
Under this arrangement, Gulfstream coordinates pricing and schedules with Continental Airlines. Gulfstream passengers can expect seamless travel on joint Continental-Gulfstream itineraries, as the two airlines offer through ticketing and baggage-transfer. Gulfstream passengers may participate in the Continental OnePass Frequent Flyer program and may book their flights and select their seats via Continental’s website, continental.com.
“Parkersburg, West Virginia is a welcome addition to our route network,” says Mickey Bowman, Gulfstream’s vice president of corporate development. “We are delighted to bring the Continental Connection product to the Mid Ohio Valley Regional Airport. Our new service will feature four roundtrip flights each weekday, with reduced service on the weekend. We believe the community will benefit from our affiliation with Continental Airlines and the dependable, on time performance that is a hallmark of the Gulfstream operation.”
Gulfstream’s flight numbers on the route are complicated, with the airline using the same flight numbers in some cases for flights in both directions on the route.
Its schedule from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) to Mid Ohio Regional Airport at Parkersburg (PKB) calls for flight CO9282 to leave CLE at 8:40 a.m. on weekdays and arrive at PKB at 9:35 a.m. Flight CO9283 will depart CLE at 12:20 p.m. every day except Sunday and land at PKB at 1:15 p.m. Flight CO9284 is timed to leave CLE at 4:15 p.m. every day except Saturday and reach PKB at 5:10 p.m. On Saturdays only, flight CO9284 will depart CLE at 5:35 p.m. and arrive at PKB at 6:30 p.m. Every day except Saturday, flight CO9285 will leave CLE at 8:35 p.m. and land at PKB at 9:30 p.m. The two airports are in the same time zone.
