Frontier Airlines is launching non-stop, five-times-weekly service to Bismarck in North Dakota on May 17 from its Denver International Airport hub.
The new route will represent a new record for Frontier Airlines of serving 67 destinations non-stop from Denver.
Frontier Airlines is promoting the new service with one-way introductory fares starting at $60 (taxes and fees included), available at www.FrontierAirlines.com.
To obtain introductory prices, tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on March 5. Fares are valid for travel through June 17, 2012. A round-trip purchase is not required, but a 14-day advance purchase is.
“This is a significant milestone for both Frontier and the city of Denver,” said David Siegel, Frontier’s president and CEO. “As the largest low-fare carrier at Denver International Airport, we bring more low-cost, non-stop flight options in and out of the city than any other carrier. We look forward to working with the city and state to further increase the number of destinations served by Frontier.”
“Frontier’s continued commitment to its hometown has a significant economic impact on the Denver metro region,” said Denver Mayor Michael Hancock. “Having a low-cost carrier based in our city, providing non-stop flights to more destinations, helps to make Denver a world-class destination to live, work and play.”
From May 17, Frontier’s Denver-Bismarck schedule will see its flight (operated by Embraer 190 aircraft) departing Denver International Airport (DEN) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at 10:40 a.m. and landing at Bismarck Municipal Airport (BIS) at 1:10 p.m. local time.
In the other direction, Frontier Airlines’ Embraer 190 flight will leave BIS on the same five days at 1:45 p.m. and touch down at DEN at 2:26 p.m. local time.
During the month of February, Frontier has announced six new non-stop destinations from Denver. In addition to the non-stop service to Bismarck, Frontier is adding nonstop flights from Denver to Bloomington/Normal in Illinois (BMI) and Cedar Rapids in Iowa (CID).
The carrier has also added seasonal non-stop service to Bellingham in Washington state (BLI), Great Falls in Montana (GTF) and Harrisburg in Pennsylvania (MDT).
