Frontier Airlines is expanding nonstop service from its hub at Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) to both Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and New York La Guardia International Airport (LGA) beginning this spring.
Republic Airways Holdings subsidiary Frontier will add a fourth, six-times-weekly round-trip to New York beginning April 4 and a fourth, six-times-weekly round-trip to Boston beginning May 13. The new flights are now available for purchase at www.FrontierAirlines.com.
“This expansion in service to Boston and New York reflects our continued commitment to the Milwaukee community and to our guests who prefer convenient and affordable air service,” says Daniel Shurz, Frontier Airlines’ vice president of strategy and planning. “These routes serve as important connections for both our business and leisure travelers and these additional frequencies will make it easier than ever to find a schedule that best meets the needs of each of our individual guests.”
Frontier Airlines is also extending its daily seasonal service between Milwaukee and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) until May 12. The service was originally scheduled to end on April 17.
From April 4, Frontier Airlines’ schedule for its New York LaGuardia-Milwaukee service will see the first flight of the day leaving LGA at 6:00 a.m. and landing at MKE at 7:20 a.m. local time, the service operating every day except Sundays. The second flight will push back from the gate at LGA daily at 11:55 a.m., in order to make a 1:20 p.m. arrival at MKE. The third flight is timed to depart LGA at 6:00 p.m. and reach MKE at 7:24 p.m. local time, operating every day except Saturdays.
The last flight of the day (the new flight) will leave LGA at 7:15 p.m. and touch down at 8:49 p.m., operating every day except Saturdays.
In the other direction, Frontier Airlines’ first flight of the day will push back from the gate at MKE at 8:05 a.m. and will land at LGA at 11:15 a.m. local time, every day except Sundays. The second flight, which operates daily, leaves MKE at 2:05 p.m. and reaches LGA at 5:15 p.m. The third flight (the new one) is timed to depart MKE at 3:30 p.m. and get to LGA at 6:42 p.m. local time, operating every day except Saturdays. The day’s last flight pushes back at MKE at 8:10 p.m. in order to make an 1:20 p.m. arrival at LGA, operating every day except Saturdays.
From May 13, Frontier Airlines’ Boston-Milwaukee schedule will see the day’s first flight leave BOS at 6:00 a.m. and reach MKE at 7:45 a.m. local time, operating every day except Sundays. The second flight pushes back from the gate at BOS at 11:43 a.m. in order to get to MKE at 1:28 p.m. local time, operating every day except Saturdays. The third flight (the additional flight) is timed to depart BOS at 1:10 p.m. and arrive at MKE at 2:53 p.m. local time, operating daily. The fourth and last flight leaves BOS at 5:35 p.m. and lands at MKE at 7:14 p.m. local time, operating every day except Saturdays.
Between Milwaukee and Boston, Frontier Airlines’ first flight departs MKE at 7:50 a.m. and lands at BOS at 11:03 a.m. local time every day except Sundays. The second flight, the new one, is scheduled to push back from the gate at MKE at 9:30 a.m. in order to reach BOS at 12:38 p.m., operating daily. The third flight, operating daily, leaves MKE at 1:42 p.m. and gets to BOS at 4:55 p.m. local time. The last flight, operating each day except Saturdays, departs MKE at 7:55 p.m. and touches down at BOS at 11:01 p.m., operating daily except Saturdays.
Frontier’s schedule for its Milwaukee-Fort Lauderdale seasonal service, newly extended through May 12, sees the daily flight leave MKE at 7:08 a.m. and land at FLL at 11:17 a.m. local time. The return flight departs FLL at 11:52 a.m. and touches down at MKE at 2:05 p.m.
