Finnair is to operate scheduled service between Helsinki and Dubai during its winter season starting on October 7, 2011.
“Finnair has previously operated charter and leisure flights to Dubai but recently there has been increasing demand. We want to improve our service continuously and offer our customers smoother connections to Dubai,” says Ville Iho, Finnair’s senior vice president, operations.
Finnish tour operators still have a quota of seats on the scheduled flights, according to Finnair.
The carrier will fly the route three times a week in the winter season from October 7 until March 23, 2012.
Finnair will use a Boeing 757 for the service. The flight between Dubai and Helsinki takes about 6 hours.
