American Airlines has begun selling 30-day Admirals Club Lounge memberships for $99, the deal offering the same services as an annual Admirals Club membership for a period of 30 consecutive days from the date of purchase.

The 30-day membership allows access to the private surroundings and amenities found in American’s more than 40 Admirals Club lounges worldwide.


Admirals Club membership benefits include assistance with reservations; the ability to bring up to two guests or immediate family members; complimentary Wi-Fi in all locations; complimentary coffee, tea, soft drinks and snacks; complimentary well drinks, house wines and beer throughout the U.S. and complimentary beverages at American’s international Admirals Club locations; fresh food for purchase in all domestic U.S. locations; spa-like showers, cyber cafes and children’s rooms in select locations; and availability of conference rooms at discounted member rates.

Memberships may be purchased online with a credit card at www.aa.com/admiralsclub or in any Admirals Club location. The cost per 30-day membership is the same regardless of tier level in the AAdvantage program. AAdvantage miles cannot be redeemed as a form of payment for the 30-day membership.

Customers who purchase a 30-day membership will also receive a renewal-pricing discount of $50 on the purchase of an annual Admirals Club membership at the end of the 30-day membership.

For more frequent travelers wishing to purchase a new, annual Admirals Club membership, prices are based on the level of American AAdvantage membership and range from $350 or 50,000 AAdvantage miles for a new Executive Platinum membership to $500 or 80,000 miles for a regular membership. One-day passes are also available and can be purchased online, at self-service check-in machines, or any Admirals Club location for $50.

American recently opened a new Admirals Club at San Francisco International Airport; completed an expansion to its JFK C Admirals Club; and in 2010 completed extensive renovations to its Boston Admirals Club and its London Heathrow Admirals Club and Flagship Lounge. Extensive renovations are currently underway at American’s LaGuardia D Admirals Club and construction will begin later this month on a brand-new Admirals Club at LaGuardia C.
