Allegiant Air's new flights will operate twice weekly between Quad City International Airport and McCarran International Airport, with service on Thursdays and Sundays.

Allegiant Air is launching new, nonstop jet service between the Moline/Quad Cities area in Illinois and Las Vegas on October 14.

The low-cost carrier will introduce the new service to the Quad Cities with one-way fares from $44.99 plus government taxes and fees and Allegiant Air’s almost-unavoidable “convenience” fees. Allegiant’s $44.99 one-way introductory fare is limited, must be purchased by September 8 and is valid for travel through January 31, 2011. Introductory fares are not available on all flights.

After the introductory fare period, regular one-way fares on the route will be from  $94.99 one-way plus government taxes and fees and Allegiant Air’s fees. Reservations can be made on the airline’s website at www.allegiant.com or by calling the company’s travel representatives at 702-505-8888.

“We are very happy to partner with Allegiant Air and offer its nonstop service from the Quad Cities to Las Vegas,” says Bruce Carter, Quad City International Airport’s director of aviation. “Las Vegas is our customers’ top requested destination. Allegiant’s convenient flights and affordable hotel and car rental packages are sure to be very popular with travelers from the Quad Cities and beyond.”

As Allegiant Air continues to take delivery of more McDonnell Douglas MD-80s it has purchased in used-aircraft deals, the low-cost carrier continues to add new destinations to its network. One such is Long Beach in the Los Angeles area, which Allegiant Air began serving from July 1, 2010

Allegiant Air’s new flights will operate twice weekly between Quad City International Airport (MLI) and McCarran International Airport (LAS), with service on Thursdays and Sundays. Its flights will depart Moline/Quad Cities at 8:45 p.m. and reach Las Vegas at 10:10 p.m. local time. Flights leaving Las Vegas will depart at 2:55 p.m. and land at Moline/Quad Cities at 8:05 p.m. local time.

The carrier will use 150-seat McDonnell Douglas MD-80 jets on the route.

Allegiant Travel Company, the airline’s parent company, offers low-cost packages with more than 40 Las Vegas hotels. These include Wynn Las Vegas, Bellagio, Venetian-Resort-Hotel-Casino, Paris Las Vegas, MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Caesars Palace, Red Rock Casino-Resort-Spa, Golden Nugget Las Vegas, South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa, Four Queens Hotel & Casino, ARIA Resort & Casino and many more.
