Alaska Airlines is expanding its service between San Diego and Hawaii by launching a daily nonstop round-trip from the Southern California city to Honolulu.
The daily service will begin on November 17 and complements Alaska Airlines’ existing daily nonstop flight between San Diego and Kahului, Maui, which started in October 2010.
Alaska Airlines is offering a special introductory fare of $149 each way (plus taxes and fees) for tickets purchased by July 25, for travel from November 17 through December 15, 2011. The fares is not available for travel from San Diego to Honolulu on November 21; and from Honolulu to San Diego on November 28 or November 29.
Customers can also save on an Alaska Airlines Vacation package to Honolulu, with round-trip air fare and three nights’ hotel accommodation from $489 per person at the Ohana Waikiki West. (To obtain the special package rate, outbound travel from San Diego to Oahu must occur on Mondays and return travel on Thursdays.)

From November 17, Alaska Airlines’ San Diego-Honolulu service will depart San Diego International Airport (SAN, also known as Lindbergh Field) at 9:15 a.m. and will land at Honolulu International Airport (HNL) at 1:15 p.m. local time. In the other direction, Alaska Airlines’ flight is timed to leave HNL at 3:40 p.m. and to touch down at SAN at 11:15 p m. local time.
