This summer US Airways is offering daily, seasonal service to Barcelona, Athens, Glasgow, Venice and Lisbon from the airline’s hub at Philadelphia.
The carrier will also add daily, seasonal service from US Airways’ hub at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina to Dublin, Madrid and Rome.
US Airways is also offering additional seasonal service frequencies to Frankfurt from both Philadelphia and Charlotte, giving customers a first-ever choice of four daily non-stop flights from the U.S. East Coast.
The new flights supplement existing US Airways year-round service to 13 destinations in Europe and the Middle East.
Additionally, customers traveling in Envoy, US Airways’ international business class, on the airline’s fleet of Airbus A330-family jets can now experience the carrier’s Envoy Suite seating to many new destinations. All of US Airways’ A330-200s and A330-300s have now been fitted with the Envoy Suite seating.
Equipped with an adjustable seat that reclines into a fully flat bed, the Envoy Suite also features personal in-flight entertainment and a standard 110-volt universal power outlet so customers can work, play and relax.
The Envoy Suite is now available on the airline’s entire Airbus A330 fleet of 16 aircraft (nine A330-300s and seven A330-200s) and on most flights between the U.S. and Paris, London, Madrid, Barcelona, Frankfurt, Munich, Manchester, Rome, and Tel Aviv.
“Our seasonal service gives our customers more ways to reach their favorite European destinations from both Philadelphia and Charlotte, while also giving European travelers access to US Airways destinations as diverse as San Juan and Los Angeles,” says Suzanne Boda, US Airways’ senior vice president, airport customer service, international and cargo. “Customers will also be able to enjoy the Envoy Suite to many new destinations, enhancing their travel experience across the Atlantic.”
From Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), US Airways operates year-round service to Amsterdam, with Boeing 757s; to Brussels, with Boeing 767-200ERs; to Paris Charles de Gaulle, with A330-200s fitted with Envoy Suites; to Dublin, with 757s; to Rome Leonardo da Vinci, with A330-300s fitted with Envoy Suites; to Frankfurt, with A330-300s fitted with Envoy Suites; and to London Heathrow Airport, with A330-300s fitted with Envoy Suites.
Also seeing year-round US Airways service from PHL are Madrid, served by A330-200s fitted with Envoy Suites; Manchester, served by A330-300s with Envoy Suites; Munich, served by A330-300s with Envoy Suites; Tel Aviv, served by A330-200s with Envoy Suites; and Zurich, served by 767-200ERs.
Until October 26, US Airways is also operating from PHL to Barcelona, using A330-200s with Envoy Suites; Frankfurt Airport, using A330-200s with Envoy Suites; Venice, with Boeing 767-200ERs; and Lisbon, with Boeing 757s. The carrier is flying from PHL to Athens until September 29, using 767-200ERs.
US Airways is offering seasonal service to Glasgow from May 25 until October 26, with 757s; and an additional twice-weekly flight to Dublin from July 13 until July 28, with 757s. This flight will operate on Fridays and Saturdays outbound, Saturdays and Sundays inbound.
From Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), US Airways flies year-round to Frankfurt and London Gatwick Airport, with A330-300s featuring Envoy Suites; and to Rio de Janeiro, with 767-200ERs.
Until October 26, the carrier is also operating from Charlotte to Paris Charles de Gaulle, with 767-200ERs; and to Rome, using A330-300s fitted with Envoy Suites. US Airways is also flying from CLT to Dublin until September 3, using 757s.
From May 24 until October 26, the airline is offering an additional Charlotte-Frankfurt flight on Fridays and Saturdays outbound, Saturdays and Sundays inbound, using A330-200s fitted with Envoy Suites. From May 24 until September 3, US Airways is also operating daily seasonal service from Charlotte to Madrid, with 767-200ERs.
