Turkmenistan’s national flag carrier Turkmenistan Airlines has ordered three Boeing 737-700s, which the manufacturer values at approximately $192 million at list prices.
The Central-Asian airline’s existing, all-Boeing fleet includes 717s, Classic and Next-Generation 737s, 757s and one 767.
Aviation finance investors often rank the Next-Generation 737 family as their most preferred aircraft due to the family’s wide customer base, fuel efficiency and low operating costs.
Turkmenistan Airlines has ordered three Boeing 737-700s to complement, or perhaps replace some aircraft in, its existing all-Boeing fleet
Since the first delivery of a 737 by Boeing in 1967 (to Lufthansa), more than 250 customers have taken delivery of more than 6,000 aircraft, making it the most successful commercial jet program in history.
The Next-Generation 737, which entered service in 1998, currently has over 5,000 orders from more than 100 customers.
