Southwest Airlines will begin service from Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) on November 1, with 12 daily nonstop flights to six destinations.
The airline initially will operate three flights to Baltimore/Washington, three to Kansas City, two to Las Vegas, two to Orlando, one to Phoenix and one to Tampa Bay from MKE.
In addition to the 12 daily nonstop flights, Southwest’s new service out of MKE will offer direct (same plane) or connecting service to 49 other destinations throughout the airline’s network.
Southwest Airlines will operate from two gates in Terminal D at MKE, and the airline will have about 40 full-time employees there initially.
