SkyWest Airlines is beginning new United Express service beginning in early 2010 from United’s Chicago hub to four Midwest cities.
Using 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200s, SkyWest Airlines ― which boasts it is the world’s largest independently owned regional airline ― will operate United Express Service between Chicago O’Hare and Eau Claire, Wisconsin; Hancock/Houghton, Michigan; Muskegon, Michigan; and Paducah, Kentucky.
United Airlines says SkyWest’s new service between these destinations and Chicago will offer travelers throughout the Midwest more choice to dozens of cities throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia. As the largest airline in Chicago, United offers more than 570 daily departures to more than 130 cities worldwide.
The schedules for SkyWest’s service between Muskegon County Airport (MKG) and Chicago O’Hare (ORD) from February 11, 2010 will see a flight leave MKG at 6:00 a.m. and arrive at ORD at 5:46 a.m. local time on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Friday and Saturdays. Another flight will operate from MKG to ORD on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, departing MKG at 10:27 a.m. and reaching ORD at 10:11 a.m. A third flight, operating every day except Saturday, is scheduled to depart MKG at 7:59 p.m. and reach ORD at 7:45 p.m.
In the other direction, SkyWest will operate a flight every day except Friday and Saturday that will depart ORD at 8:07 a.m. and reach MKG at 9:58 a.m. A second flight, operating every day except Friday, is scheduled to leave ORD at 5:40 p.m. and get to MKG at 7:31 p.m. Also scheduled is a third flight, operating on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, that will depart ORD at 9:37 p.m. and reach MKG at 11:28 p.m.
Also on February 11, SkyWest will launch twice-daily service between Paducah’s Barkley Regional Airport (PAH) and ORD. One flight will depart PAH at 6:00 a.m. to make ORD by 7:20 a.m. local time, while the other will leave PAH at 2:53 p.m. to reach ORD at 4:10 p.m. In the other direction, SkyWest will operate a departure from ORD at 1:09 p.m. to arrive at PAH at 2:27 p.m. and another at 9:37 p.m. to reach PAH at 10:58 p.m.
Beginning March 1, 2010, SkyWest will operate three flights between Eau Claire’s Chippewa Valley Regional Airport (EAU) and ORD. Two will operate daily and a third on six days of the week. From EAU, the first flight (operating every day except Saturday) is timed to depart at 5:50 a.m., reaching ORD at 7:40 a.m. local time. A second, daily, flight departs at 11:27 a.m. to arrive at ORD at 12:32 p.m., while a third flight (again daily) is scheduled to push back at 4:30 p.m. to make a 5:37 p.m. arrival at ORD.
From ORD, SkyWest will operate a daily departure to EAU at 9:54 a.m., reaching EAU at 11:01 a.m. A second daily flight is timed to leave ORD at 2:57 p.m. and reach EAU at 4:05 p.m. The third flight, operating every day except Friday, is planned to depart ORD at 9:37 p.m. and land at EAU at 11:24 p.m.
Also on March 1, Skywest begins twice-daily flights between Hancock/Houghton and Chicago O’Hare. One flight will depart Hancock’s Houghton County Memorial Airport (CMX) at 6:44 a.m., reaching ORD at 6:55 a.m. local time, while the other is timed to leave CMX at 2:36 p.m. and arrive at ORD at 2:45 p.m.
In the other direction, a daily SkyWest flight is scheduled to push back at ORD at 12:00 midday in order to land at CMX at 2:10 p.m. The second daily flight departs ORD at 9:37 p.m. and arrives at CMX at 11:53 p.m.
