Swiss International Air Lines operates 14 Avro RJ100s as part of its short-haul fleet. The aircraft are very useful for operations into short runways and for steep approaches (such as at London City Airport and Lugano) but beginning in 2014 they and seven Airbus A319s which the carrier operates will gradually be replaced by 30 all-new Bombardier CS100s, offering more comfortable cabins and much better fuel performance
