Continental Airlines is moving its Toronto operations from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1 at Lester B. Pearson Airport (YYZ) from November 2, to locate its operation in the same terminal as fellow Star Alliance members, including United and Air Canada.
The Continental Airlines ticketing and check-in counter will relocate to Terminal 1′s Area H, effective November 2, and will occupy counter numbers 31 through 36.
Continental says the move will make flight connections in Canada’s largest airport significantly quicker for its passengers. Members of Continental’s Presidents Club will have access to Air Canada’s Maple Leaf Lounge, located adjacent to the Transborder Security screening area.

The airline’s move in Toronto follows similar Star Alliance co-locations at airports in many U.S. and international markets, including Denver, Detroit, Chicago, Orlando, Honolulu, Frankfurt, Tokyo/Narita, Barcelona and Beijing.
Together with United Airlines, Continental Airlines is a wholly owned subsidiary of United Continental Holdings, Inc. Continental, together with Continental Express and Continental Connection, has more than 2,400 daily departures throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia, serving 142 domestic and 131 international destinations. It is a member of Star Alliance, which overall offers more than 21,200 daily flights to 1,172 airports in 181 countries through its 28 member airlines.
Continental has hubs serving Cleveland, Guam, Houston and Newark Liberty International Airport and together with its regional partners, carries approximately 63 million passengers per year.
United Continental Holdings, Inc. became the holding company for both United and Continental following completion of their merger transaction. The two airlines will continue to operate separately as they begin to integrate key customer services, marketing activities and airport processes but eventually their operations will merge completely under the United Airlines name.
