American Airlines has introduced new styles of china, cutlery and wine glasses for passengers in its international First and Business Class cabins. American says the new table settings complete the effort it began several months ago to fine-tune its premium-cabin dining experience.
The new table settings include china that features a refined, platinum-rimmed design and cutlery with a distinctive and decorative American Airlines eagle logo on the handles of the forks, spoons and knives.
Additionally, the airline has introduced a larger-stemmed wine glass with a tulip-shaped globe in First Class on international Boeing 777 and transcontinental Boeing 767-200 flights.
In May, American began offering enhanced food and beverage offerings to passengers traveling internationally in its Economy Class cabins. The complimentary offerings vary by international route, but they include a new gourmet snack mix accompaniment during the first beverage service; the addition of cheese and crackers; a fresh green salad and a new dessert option to the current entree; a larger mid-flight snack box; and an 8-ounce bottle of water.
