American Eagle is adding another daily round-trip flight between Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and the University of Illinois’ Willard Airport (CMI) in Champaign, Illinois, beginning February 10.
The new service will be operated with 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 jets.
“This additional flight provides even greater flexibility in travel options from Champaign, adding to our convenience for Central Illinois travelers,” says Bruce Walden, director of real estate and planning services with the University of Illinois. “American Eagle has experienced a sharp increase in passenger traffic at CMI and this additional flight will build on that momentum.” The University of Illinois owns and operates CMI Airport.

American Eagle’s schedule between ORD and Champaign from February 10 (all times local) sees flight AA3966 the new flight) leaving ORD at 10:15 a.m. and reaching CMI at 11:05 a.m. Flight AA4021 departs ORD at 12:00 p.m. and lands at CMI at 12:50 p.m. Flight AA4144 pushes back at ORD at 4:45 p.m. and gets into CMI at 5:30 p.m. Flight AA4374 leaves the gate at ORD at 6:05 p.m. in order to make a 6:55 p.m. arrival at CMI. Flight AA4178 departs ORD at 7:40 p.m. and reaches CMI at 8:30 p.m. Flight AA4123 leaves ORD at 8:55 p.m. and arrives at CMI at 9:40 p.m.
Between Champaign and Chicago O’Hare, flight AA4278 pushes back at CMI at 6:15 a.m. and gets into ORD at 7:15 a.m. Flight AA4206 departs CMI at 8:05 a.m. and lands at ORD at 9:10 a.m. Flight AA4373 leaves CMI at 9:15 a.m. and makes it into ORD at 10:10 a.m. Flight AA3968 (the new flight) is timed to push back at CMI at 11:30 a.m. in order to make a 12:20 p.m. arrival at ORD. Flight AA4052 leaves CMI at 1:15 p.m. and lands at ORD at 2:10 p.m. Flight AA4129 departs CMI at 6:05 p.m. and reaches ORD at 7:10 p.m.
