Allegiant Air is launching scheduled service between Moline’s Quad City International Airport in Illinois and St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport in Florida’s Tampa Bay area on February 18.
The airline is offering introductory fares between the two cities from $64.99 one-way plus taxes and fees. Tickets at introductory fares must be purchased by January 26. Reservations may be made through the Allegiant Air website at www.allegiant.com or by calling Allegiant at 702-505-8888.
“I am thrilled Allegiant is continuing to expand in the Quad Cities by adding nonstop service to the Tampa/St. Petersburg area,” says Bruce Carter, director of aviation for Quad City International Airport. “The Tampa/St. Pete area has some of the most popular beaches in Florida and will be a great vacation destination. With the addition of these flights, the QCIA will now have 12 nonstop destinations – more than ever before in the history of the airport.”
Allegiant Air’s new flights will operate twice weekly between Quad City International Airport (MLI) and St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport (PIE), with service on Mondays and Fridays.
The airline’s Moline-St. Petersburg/Clearwater schedule calls for its flight to depart MLI at 5:40 p.m. and arrive at PIE at 9:10 p.m. local time. In the other direction, Allegiant Air’s new flight will leave PIE at 3:20 p.m. and land at MLI at 5:00 p.m. local time.
Allegiant Air will operate 150-seat McDonnell Douglas MD-80s on the route. The company also offers nonstop service from Moline/Quad Cities to Las Vegas and Phoenix-Mesa, Arizona.
