Allegiant Air to Launch Pueblo, Colorado-Las Vegas Service

by Staff on August 4, 2010

Allegiant Air is launching nonstop jet service between Pueblo, Colorado, and Las Vegas on October 7.

The low-cost carrier will introduce the new service to Pueblo residents with one-way fares from $29.99 plus airline fees and government taxes and fees.

“We’re pleased to bring an affordable and convenient travel option to Pueblo,” says Andrew Levy, president of Allegiant Air’s parent company Allegiant Travel Company. “With our low-cost, nonstop flights to Las Vegas and hotel, rental car and show ticket packages we are confident that Pueblo residents will take advantage of the new service. We look forward to a very successful partnership with the Pueblo Memorial Airport, community officials and our customers.”

“Jim Carter and I, co-chairmen of the Allegiant Air project, are very excited and pleased that Allegiant has chosen Pueblo for its Las Vegas service,” says Dave Cardinal, Pueblo Airport Advisory Board co-chairman. “Not only will this provide service to Pueblo but also to all of Southern Colorado. We are confident the Las Vegas service will be well-received and very popular.”

As Allegiant Air continues to take delivery of more McDonnell Douglas MD-80s it has purchased in used-aircraft deals, the low-cost carrier continues to add new destinations to its network. One such is Pueblo, Colorado, which Allegiant Air is serving from October 7, 2010

The new flights will operate twice weekly between Pueblo Memorial Airport (PUB) and McCarran International Airport (LAS), with Allegiant Air operating services on Thursdays and Sundays. Flights will depart Pueblo at 7:25 p.m., arriving in Las Vegas at 8:25 p.m. Flights leaving Las Vegas will depart at 3:55 p.m. and reach Pueblo at 6:45 p.m. (All flight times are local).

The carrier will use 150-seat McDonnell Douglas MD-80s on the route. The airline says its market research and input from local community leaders indicate that Pueblo will welcome the new nonstop flights and low fares to Las Vegas as an affordable and convenient alternative to connecting flights or long drives to other airports.

Allegiant Travel Company offers packages at more than 40 Las Vegas hotel properties, including: Wynn Las Vegas; Bellagio; Venetian-Resort-Hotel-Casino; Paris Las Vegas; MGM Grand Hotel & Casino; Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino; Caesars Palace; Red Rock Casino-Resort-Spa; Golden Nugget Las Vegas; South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa; Four Queens Hotel & Casino; ARIA Resort & Casino; and many more.

Allegiant’s $29.99 one-way introductory fare is limited, must be purchased by August 25 and is valid for travel through January 31, 2011. Introductory fares are not available on all flights. After the introductory-fare period, Allegiant’s regular one-way fares on the route will start from $49.99 plus fees and taxes. Reservations can be made on the airline’s website at www.allegiant.com or by calling the company’s travel agents at 702-505-8888.

Prices do not include PFC, segment tax or September 11 security fees of up to $10.70 per segment. A segment is one take-off and one landing. A convenience fee of $14.99 per passenger will apply when booked on allegiant.com.
