Allegiant Air is launching service between Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport and Phoenix-Mesa on November 18.

The carrier will introduce the new service to Northwest Arkansas with fares from $64.99 one-way, plus government taxes and fees and Allegiant Air’s almost-unavoidable “convenience” fees. The airline’s $64.99 one-way introductory fare is limited, must be purchased by October 5, 2010, and is valid for travel through March 8, 2011. Introductory fares are not available on all flights.

After the introductory fare period, regular one-way fares on the route start from $79.99 one-way plus taxes and fees. Reservations can be made on the company’s website at www.allegiant.com or by calling 702-505-8888.

As Allegiant Air continues to take delivery of more McDonnell Douglas MD-80s it has purchased in used-aircraft deals, the low-cost carrier continues to add new destinations to its network

“On behalf of the Authority’s Board of Directors, I thank Allegiant for giving the people of Northwest Arkansas yet another new destination,” says Philip Taldo, chairman of the board of the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport Authority. “I know from my conversations with people throughout our region, the addition of Allegiant and its low-cost service has been very well received. I’m sure Phoenix will also become another very popular destination. It is also very rewarding to see Allegiant expanding its services from XNA during tough economic times.”

Allegiant Air’s new flights will operate twice weekly between Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (IWA), with service on Thursdays and Sundays. Flights will depart XNA at 8:25 p.m., arriving at IWA at 10:05 p.m. Flights leaving IWA will depart at 4:20 p.m. to reach XNA at 7:45 p.m. (All times are local).

The airline also offers nonstop service from XNA to three other destinations: Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Orlando-Sanford, Florida.

I just made reservations for Gene and Carlene Cross to fly out of Northwest AR to Phoenix Mesa. I did not receive an Itinerary with all the details and paymnet information. I also wanted to request distcounts through Triple A or AARP. Please provide an itinerary by email, one that I can print and email or fax to Gene and Carlene. Also advise whether additional discounts I have mentioned are available.

I attempted to call; but was not able to get through to your customer service office. Please advise status.

    Regards,

Please assist me with understanding all the additional charges which have been applied to flight reservations against Customer ID# 9185593.

      SEGMENT FEES: $14.80
      PFC: $18.00
      911 SECURITY: $10.00
      PREPAID BAGS: $39.98
      SEAT SELECTION FEE: $55.96
      PRIORITY BOARDING: $39.96
      CONVENIENCE FEE: $29.98
      TRIP FLEX: $31.96

Did not priority boarding include the seat selection and fee? And particularly, what are segment, PFC, Convenience, and Trip Flex fees?

Do you allow Triple A or AARP discounts for senior citizens? Please let me know. If so, I would like for them to apply to this reservation. I have not been able to reach you by telephone and I did not want to lose these dates.
