Alaska Airlines is launching daily service between San Jose, California and Austin, Texas on September 2.
The new flight is scheduled to depart San Jose International Airport (SJC) at 8:55 a.m. Pacific time and arrive at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) at 2:15 p.m. Central time.
The return flight departs AUS at 3 p.m. Central time and arrives at SJC at 4:40 p.m. Pacific time.

The new SJC-AUS flight originates and ends in Portland, Oregon (PDX), with an Alaska Airlines jet replacing one of five existing Horizon Air flights between PDX and SJC to increase capacity in the market. The Alaska flight departs PDX at 6:20 a.m. Pacific time and arrives at SJC at 8:10 a.m. Pacific time. The return flight departs SJC at 5:25 p.m. and arrives at PDX at 7:10 p.m.
Alaska Airlines is operating the flights with Boeing 737-800s, accommodating 16 passengers in first class and 141 in the main economy-class cabin.
Alaska also previously announced it would link Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and Austin with a daily round-trip flight from August 3.
