AirTran Airways has moved from Concourse A to Concourse B at Charleston International Airport (CHS) in South Carolina.
The switch follows the remodeling of Concourse B and the airline says it will allow AirTran Airways passengers quicker access to the airline’s gate, B4. Passengers of the low-fare carrier at CHS will now have the benefit of larger waiting areas, new carpeting and air-conditioned jetways.
“This move allows AirTran Airways passengers in Charleston to enjoy a modern concourse that is more convenient and aesthetically pleasing,” says Tad Hutcheson, vice president of marketing and sales for AirTran Airways. “We are always looking for ways to enhance our travelers’ experience. By offering features like Wi-Fi on every flight, 22 brands of Coca-Cola products onboard and relocating to the most convenient, efficient terminal at the airport, we continue to offer the highest-quality product at some of the lowest costs around.”
AirTran Airways first began service in Charleston in May 2007 in Concourse A and will continue to offer four flight departures each day from Charleston to Atlanta, where passengers can connect to dozens of destinations.
